Tips on Thursday is going to be a new weekly topic! So often I see great craft tips and tutorials coming by and every week I'm going to share a few with you!

Tips on Thursday wordt een nieuw wekelijks onderdeel! Zo vaak zie ik leuke tips die ik hier met jullie ga delen!

This first link is a tutorial by Moogly from Mooglyblog.com. It's one of my favorite blogs ever with tutorials and new (free!) patterns every week! This week she hare a tutorial on the standing double crochet. This is a great way to crochet without the slip stitches and chains on the beginning of a round!

Deze week deelde ze een tutorial van het staande stokje. Dit is een supergoede manier om een nieuwe ronde te beginnen zonder halve vaste en lossen aan het begin van een ronde!



 Second tip this week is a video tutorial by Jane Richmond, one of the greatest knitting pattern designer i know. She shared a tutorial for joining yarn with a double knot which you can't pull out. I'm so glad I found this and have been using it all the time!

De tweede tip deze week is een video tutorial van Jane Richmond, één van de beste ontwerpsters op het gebied van breipatronen. Ik ben zo blij dat ik deze tip ontdekt heb en gebruik hem zelf heel veel. In deze video legt ze uit hoe je nieuwe draden aan kunt hechten met een dubbele knoop die je er zelfs met heel veel kracht niet uittrekt!

Kangaroo Jumper, new pattern and Give-Away!



This brand new pattern includes jumper, pouch and kangaroo to make a fun and functional piece of clothing that any child will love! It is a simple pattern that works up really fast.

This jumper is crocheted top down and seamless, the pouch is sewn on the jumper in the end.

There's another new pattern in store, it's the Windmill Shawl!

Flower Bookmark! *with free pattern

It seems like finally spring has arrived! Let's celebrate with a free pattern for a lovely little flower bookmark! It's completely seamless, crocheted in one piece, using a 4mm crochet hook and aran or worsted weight yarn. It makes a lovely little gift and depending on how tight you sew the pedals to the centre it could either be a rose or a tullip. A perfect last-minute project, it takes about 15min to crochet!

Het lijkt alsof de lente eindelijk is aangebroken! Laten we dat eens vieren met een gratis patroontje voor een vrolijke bloemen boekenlegger! Het is volkomen naadeloos, aan één stuk gehaakt, met een 4mm haaknaald en standaardacryl of grof katoen. Een leuk cadeautje dat zowel een roos als een tulp kan zijn, net hoe strak je de blaadjes laat aansluiten. Ook handig als je een heel snel werkje nodig hebt, je maakt hem in ongeveer een kwartier!

This first blankey is from outer space! The little astronaut will fly his spaceship straight into the arms of a lucky little boy or girl. Head, body and spaceship are all worked in one piece, so there’s very little sewing involved!

It was a big step for mankind, but not for this little moon girl, she was there all along! This lovely blankey is shining just as bright as the moon in her hands. Hair, Head, body and dress are all worked in one piece, so there’s very little sewing involved!

They are both very easy and fast to make. It took me (and my testers) about one evening to make them!

Het was een grote stap voor de mensheid, maar niet voor dit maanmeisje, zij was er al de hele tijd! Dit knuffeldoekje straalt minstens zo mooi als de maan in haar handen.
Haar, hoofd, lichaam en jurk worden aan één stuk gehaakt, dus er valt weinig te naaien!

Dit tweede knuffeldoekje komt rechtstreeks vanuit de ruimte! Het kleine astronautje vliegt zijn ruimteschip zo in de handen van een lief jongetje of meisje.
Hoofd, lichaam en ruimteschip worden aan één stuk gehaakt, dus er valt weinig te naaien!

Ze zijn beiden makkelijk en snel te haken. Het kostte mij (en mijn testers) ongeveer één avond om te maken!

New lovey patterns, Mermaid and Pirate!


I't's about time for some new lovey patterns to be added to the store and again it's a lovely duo!

This little mermaid is the beauty of the ocean! She loves to cuddle and be played with. She has a lot of features for children to play with and her look will melt the heart of all little girls (and mommies)!

Dit schattige stelletje is alvast helemaal klaar voor valentijnsdag! Je ziet de liefde in hun ogen!

Dit patroon bevat twee soorten flamingo's in twee verschillende poses. Je hebt Mr Flamino met zijn strikje en bolhoed en Mrs Flamino op hoge hakken en met strikje in het haar. Patroon bevat instructies voor zowel staande flamingo als zittende/liggende flamingo met flexibele poten.

Het is een snel en gemakkelijk project. Erg leuk als cadeautje voor een stel dat samen gaat wonen of trouwen, maar natuurlijk ook erg leuk als speelgoed of decoratie voor de kinderkamer.

Voor BacaCreations mocht ik het patroon van de Amelia Ear Flap hat testen. Een superleuk patroon en absolute aanrader! Het patroontje haakt supersnel weg en is heel gemakkelijk... Het leuke van het ontwerp vind ik ook dat je op een hele makkelijke manier het effect van oorflapjes krijgt. De maat die ik mocht testen was 3-6 maanden, Julia is 4 maanden maar heeft volgens het patroon de hoofdomtrek van de maat 6-12 maanden, dus helaas iets te klein, maar ach, ik maak wel een nieuwe!

I had the privilege to test the Amelia Ear Flap hat For BacaCreations. Such a great pattern! It's superfast to crochet and very easy... The nice thing about the design is that you create earflaps in a very simple way. I got to test 3-6 mnths, Julia is 4 mnths old but according to this pattern she needed size 6-12 mnths so it was a bit to small... But hey, I'll just make another one!
